Our process
Purity is a process, not a promise
Aquamena purifies drinking water at its own plant in Ajman through six stages from source intake to sealed bottle. Anyone can print the word pure on a label. What matters is what the water goes through before the cap goes on — and who checks it afterwards.
Purification stages
Source intake
Raw water enters the plant under continuous monitoring. Nothing is drawn into the line without a reading behind it.
Multi-stage filtration
Sediment, activated carbon and micron filtration strip out particulates, chlorine, odour and taste compounds before the membranes ever see the water.
Reverse osmosis
The water is pushed through semi-permeable membranes that hold back dissolved solids, leaving it in its purest state.
Ozonation & UV
Sterilised with ozone and ultraviolet light rather than chemicals, so nothing is added that then has to be removed.
Mineral blending
Food-grade minerals are blended back in to a fixed balance — calcium, bicarbonate, magnesium and potassium, kept low in sodium.
Automated bottling
Bottles are washed, filled, capped and sealed on an automated line. The water is untouched by hand from intake to seal.
What we put back
Pure is only half the job
Stripping water clean is the easy part — reverse osmosis will take out almost everything, including the minerals your body actually wants from drinking water. Water with nothing in it tastes flat and does you no favours. So we put the right things back, in a balance we hold steady from batch to batch.
Low sodium matters in this climate. You drink more water here than you would almost anywhere else, so what is dissolved in it adds up over a day.
Verified
Audited, not just advertised
An internal standard is a claim. An audited one is a fact. Ours are checked by people who do not work for us.
Purification process & audit standards last updated:

Food safety
Our approach is built on the globally recognised Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system — identify where things can go wrong, control those points, and record it.

UAE standard
The Emirates Quality Mark, issued by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, against the national standard for bottled drinking water.
Continuous improvement
Aquamena is committed to continuous improvement, measured, evaluated and validated for effectiveness both internally and externally.
Common questions
Common questions about drinking water quality
Is this mineral water or purified water?
Purified water with minerals blended back in. It is not drawn from a mineral spring — it is treated to a known, repeatable composition, which means every bottle tastes the same.
Why add minerals back after removing them?
Reverse osmosis is indiscriminate: it removes what you want out along with what you want in. Blending back a fixed set of food-grade minerals gives you consistent taste and a composition we can actually state, rather than whatever the source happened to contain that week.
Can I see a water analysis report?
Yes. Business and contract customers are given the current analysis on request.
Are the bottles BPA-free?
We use food-grade containers approved for drinking water in the UAE.
Certified at the plant. Now the part that gets it to you.
